Our Story

Recovery Smiles was founded in 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee, as a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping individuals in recovery restore their smiles, confidence, and dignity.

The organization was inspired by Jon Boucher's years of volunteer work as a recovery counselor for inmates at the Williamson County Jail in Franklin, Tennessee and his work in Recovery housing. Through this work, Jon met many individuals who had transformed their lives through recovery but whose outward appearance did not reflect the renewal they had achieved within.

Motivated to bridge that gap, Jon created Recovery Smiles to provide access to dental restoration and help individuals fully embrace their new beginnings.

About Jon Boucher

Jon's own journey of recovery began on November 2, 2020, and his experience drives the organization's mission and compassion. Beyond his work with Recovery Smiles, Jon is a serial entrepreneur, avid scuba diver, devoted father of three, and an active member of Crosspoint Church in downtown Nashville.

"We aim to ensure that the outward appearance of those in recovery mirrors the strength, hope and renewal they've found within."

Our Approach

From Launch to Long Term

We began with carefully selected participants who reflect the spirit of our program. Our long-term strategy involves leveraging social media to raise awareness and build a community of supporters.

Dental Partnerships

We work with dental professionals who share our mission and provide quality care to our participants at reduced costs.

Community Support

Through private donors, faith-based partners, and community fundraising, we make dental restoration possible for those rebuilding their lives.
